So across the city of Townsville, we're getting back to basics.

We're in Gracedale Street today at Mount Louisa.

And as you can see, behind us is 200m of asphalt that's being ripped up right now, and within two days, we're going to brand new asphalt laid right here in Mount Louisa.

Townsville City Council footprint is quite large.

We go from Mutarnee all the way down to Alligator Creek and a little bit further west.

We need to make sure that we're at Townsville City Council that delivers for our urban areas, but also rural settings.

Making sure that we're delivering for all Townsville is paramount to me.

As we go into the 2026-2027 budget we want to make sure that although we might have to tighten our belt, especially at the cost of fuel and the increased cost of doing business, we need to make sure we're still delivering the basics for everyone across Townsville.

So we have the 29 projects like this across the city that have been started or completed.

There's another ten to be done before the end of financial year.

Making sure that we're getting these things done demonstrates that the Townsville City Council and its staff are working for you.
