Video: New lab tests available for Townsville businesses

Townsville Laboratory Services is now NATA accredited, which is to do with micro-organisms.

So essentially, any businesses like the community but also within Council can go and get this testing done right here.

The good thing about having, the lab that can do the swab testing here is that they don't have to send it down to the bigger labs, such as the one in Brisbane or Sydney.

So great news for our community.

So, whether it's businesses or local community, they can now come in and get, testing, whether it's for soil, the business side of things,
it can be bakeries, meat places, restaurants.

One really important aspect is flooding, so if there was a flood to occur, you can now come into this lab and get it tested.

So, they can go and test the walls  before you actually clean and after to make sure it is safe to do so.

To have one of Australia's leading labs right here in Townsville is amazing, and the work that they do is crucial.
