24 July to 8 August 2027

Prepare to be captivated by North Queensland’s premier public art festival, as we proudly present Strand Ephemera 2027 in Townsville-Gurambilbarra, Australia. Strand Ephemera 2027 invites artists to inspire imagination through our stories. Using art to spark imagination and wonder, this iteration’s theme invites artists to celebrate Queensland’s unique stories and transform them into bold, contemporary expressions.

This year, Strand Ephemera welcomes the return of the young artists category, open competitive category and the newly introduced Environmental Advocate Award! These will be exhibited alongside a selection of invited public artworks.
