In the midst of a troubled world where mayhem prevails, behold, a disjointed Carl Di Cataldo oversees the chaos of the backyard shed. Ever happy searching for an illusive object, no amount of cleaning, decluttering and clearing can attain order. Carl spends many creative hours within its confines.
About the Artist
Kerrie Di Cataldo is a Perth-based photographer, whose work encompasses film and digital techniques. Kerrie is interested in the emotional response generated by the photographic medium. When elements align, narrative is revealed. Since undertaking ‘The Compelling Portrait’ course with Toni Wilkinson (Perth Centre for Photography) in 2024, Kerrie’s focus has concentrated on portraiture. Her aim is to portray the essence of the sitter, in turn revealing a passion or personality commensurate with the setting. Kerrie has been a finalist in numerous exhibitions, won several awards, held one solo exhibition, and continues to embrace the photographic medium in its ability to engage and invite contemplation.
