Ephemera: Trace-less 2025 presents a range of workshops and activities, set to immerse audiences in creativity and sustainability. Find information on each of our programs and booking links below.

The Pink Piano, created by Jan Hynes returns to Ephemera from 19 July until 3 August. Members of the public are welcome to use The Pink Piano and fill the air with music.

Put on your walking shoes and join us for a guided tour of the artworks on display in Ephemera 2025: Trace-less.

This guided tour is free and open to the public, with Auslan interpretation for those who are deaf and hard of hearing.

This is an outdoor event, please remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and hat.

Watch The Strand transform into a vibrant runway showcasing the extraordinary creations of wearable art creatives from Townsville and beyond. Witness these stunning works of art come to life, starting at the Gregory Street Headland at 5pm and making their way toward Main Beach.

Celebrate with us for the Ephemera 2025 premiere of the Bulana: First Nations Projection on Main Beach, The Strand. Join us from 6pm as the Wulgurukaba Walkabouts begin with a Welcome to Country, followed with traditional dance. This will lead into the first projection of Bulana: First Nations Projection for Ephemera!

Learn the art of “Writing with Light” as we undertake a photographic exploration of Ephemera 2025: Trace-less.

This workshop will be an opportunity for you to develop your photography skills with local professional photographer Rob Parsons from Through The Looking Glass Studio. Ephemera offers so many great subjects for you to delve into a greater understanding of the effects of camera controls on the images you create.

Bookings essential.

Cost: $25 ($17 for Friends of the Gallery)
Ages: 18+
