Get Active Clubs Program

The introduction of the Get Active Clubs program will assist and empower clubs to:

  • Increase levels of participation in their sport
  • Be well managed and governed
  • Achieve good practice and minimum operating standards
  • Develop an environment that will promote growth and development
  • Provide an atmosphere and culture that is attractive to current and future members

Registration to the Get Active Clubs program is required to access the program's resources and blog. Registration details to follow in the coming months.


Council’s Sport and Recreation unit is committed to providing workshops that are specifically designed for sport and recreation organisations to increase skills and knowledge within the organisation. The aim is to provide a wide range of workshops to provide education and training opportunities for administrators, coaches, parents and officials and focus on the important issues relevant to clubs.

Council also partner with the Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing to provide free workshops throughout the year.
