School holiday guide offers fun for all ages

Date published: 12 December 2016

The Hot Pocket Summer School Holiday Guide is jam packed with activities and ideas to keep families entertained these school holidays.

The annual council publication offers 56 pages of fun with programs, sessions and classes from barefoot bowls, to roller skating, self-defence, rock climbing, craft and so much more.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chair Cr Colleen Doyle said there was no shortage of ideas within the pages.

“Council has planned a school holiday program to suit a wide variety of interests, with a great selection of both indoor and outdoor activities,” Cr Doyle said.

“It’s also a great opportunity for Townsville youths to get out and give some new activities a try.”

The guide also features discount vouchers and free trial tokens for classes such as kung fu, Brazilian Jui Jitsu and netball.

The Hot Pocket Summer School Holiday Guide is available at all CityLibraries branches, council’s customer service centre on Walker St and major shopping centres and various organisations throughout Townsville.
