Families

Council focuses on families through the public endorsement of clear principles and values that it will strive to meet based on our Family Charter.

Domestic and Family Violence Awareness

Townsville City Council recognises that employees sometimes face situations of violence or abuse in their personal life and the affect it may have, that’s why we are committed to creating an environment where staff who may be experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) are supported. We are standing up, speaking out and taking action to end all forms of DFV and are proudly working towards becoming a White Ribbon Accredited Workplace.

Disability

Council provides a range of information and guides to assist members of the community with a disability.

Seniors

We have some useful guides and information to assist our seniors.

Women

We provide throughout the year information and programs for women including International Women's Day.

Teachers

We have a range of free and low-cost education opportunities available for students of all ages.

Young People

We recognise the significant value of young people and their contributions.

Community Groups - Built to Last

A Council initiative which provides a platform to provide information and engage with Townsville community groups and organisations to ensure they have the information, skills and tools so our community groups are effective, efficient and have a sustainable future.
