Townsville Stadium is Townsville's multi-purpose sporting venue and can provide you with a range of services to suit your needs.
Located at Murray Sports Complex with a capacity for over 2000, we are ideal for sporting, function and industry events. Our facility features an international standard wooden sports floor, multi-purpose function rooms, a public gym, Townsville City Council - Venue Management offices, community sporting groups and is home to the WNBL team: JCU Townsville Fire.
The whole venue, individual meeting rooms or court bookings can be made by the general public at the stadium. The stadium has onsite parking for 310 spaces with 6 dedicated handicapped spaces.
The Skybox rooms can be used as corporate entertaining areas for sports events or as individual meeting/ conference rooms. Townsville Stadium has the latest audio visual equipment 65’ smart tvs in meeting rooms, portable LCD projectors, HDMI modulation to all tv’s in the building, as well as integrated audio throughout the building.
The main arena at Townsville Stadium features an international standard wooden sport floor and tiered retractable seating for feature games. The floor area covers three courts and is line marked for badminton, basketball, netball, futsal, and volleyball. With retractable netting curtains courts can be separate or divided in half to accommodate multiple users at any one time.
Townsville Stadium doesn't just cater to sports rather it is a multi-purpose built facility. The arena floor can be carpeted for expos, dinners or other showcase events. In addition the stadium has a range of furniture available for events.
Our design incorporates full disability access throughout the building and has a built in hearing augmentation system to allow the full enjoyment of the audio system.
