Theatres & Galleries
The City of Townsville has a vibrant and active theatre and arts community.
Council has two premier theatres, the Townsville Civic Theatre and the Riverway Arts Centre. Both venues offer a range of entertainment and special events and provide an environment to further develop performing arts in Townsville and the North.
We also own and operate two premier regional galleries, Perc Tucker Regional Gallery in the city’s CBD, and Pinnacles Gallery located within the Riverway Arts Centre. These venues host a selection of exhibitions, artist talks, workshops and other events and displays for a wide audience of locals and visitors to the region.
The Townsville Civic Theatre is North Queensland's premier cultural facility presenting a year round calendar of live music, comedy, dance and theatre.
Riverway Arts Centre entwines the arts, leisure and the natural environment.
