Venues, Locations & Opening Hours

Important Note

In line with the Queensland Government's easing of the COVID-19 restrictions, the following facilities have now been re-opened.

  • Riverway Lagoons
    • The Riverway Lagoon re-opened at 9am, Saturday 5 September.
    • Outdoor shower facilities at the Riverway Lagoon will re-open on Wednesday 16 September. Indoor showers will remain shut until further notice.
  • Council Campgrounds and day use areas are open including:
    • Saunders Beach campground and day use area,
    • Bluewater Park campgrounds and day use area,
    • Toomulla campgrounds and day use area,
    • Rollingstone Park campgrounds and day use area,
    • Paluma Dam campground and day use area,
    • Balgal Beach campgrounds and day use area.

    Check-in to fight COVID-19. Check-in on arrival to the campground by using your smart phone camera and scanning the QR code displayed at the entrance. On departure, check-out by scanning the QR code.

  • Community centres
    • maximum of 50 people will be allowed inside the centre. This applies to, but is not limited to, event organisers, caterers, entertainment providers and guests (including children)
    • Events where contact is required, i.e. partnered dancing, are still not permitted
  • CityLibraries Thuringowa Central, Flinders Street and Aitkenvale
    • A maximum of 100 people in the library at any one time.
    • Home and mobile libraries will also resume normal service.
  • Off-leash dog areas
    • Social distancing and appropriate hygiene practices are encouraged in line with the Australian Government's new requirements.

Closure Notice

Following the Australian Government’s new social distancing restrictions, Council has made the decision to close the following facilities to the public in order to help slow the spread of coronavirus.
