Seeds to Success

Introduce your students to sustainable gardening, the benefits of native plants and growing local food while reducing food waste with Seeds to Success.

This new Townsville City Council initiative empowers primary school students to connect with nature through practical learning in native plant growing and kitchen gardens.

Six primary school classes will be offered the opportunity to be involved. Teachers can apply for one of two garden packages for their class, each valued at over $3,000.

Package 1: Kitchen Garden

  • Access to Kitchen Garden Program resources and materials, online tutorials and workshops.
  • Raised garden bed flat pack (1m x 1m) and living soil pile (1m3).
