Keep checking here. Any stray animal found and brought to the Animal Care and Adoption Centre is uploaded here within 24 hours.

Our business hours are:

• Monday to Friday: 9am to 3:30pm
• Saturday: 9am to 2pm
• Sunday: Closed
• Public Holidays: Closed

The Animal Care and Adoption Centre is located at 69 Tompkins Road, Shaw.

Visits are by appointment only.

If you have found a stray or wandering animal and want to report this to Council, please contact us on 13 48 10.

Reclaiming your Pet

To retrieve a missing animal in Council’s care, we must be contacted within five days from the date found.

What you need to know:

• Identification and proof of ownership are required.
• Unregistered dogs and cats cannot be released until registration and approval is completed.
• Release fees may apply (see the Animal Management Fees and Charges for details).
• Payment is by EFTPOS only.

Animals not collected after 5 days from the date the animal was found will be tested for rehoming suitability through the Animal Care and Adoption Centre.
