Creative Spaces
Townsville Citylibraries is home to two incredible facilities, tailor made for creators, collaborators, inventors, ideators, fixers and tinkerers.
To use these incredible free spaces, equipment, and resources, you must attend a free induction session.

Riverway Creative Hub
Citylibraries Riverway is home to the Riverway Creative Hub. It features two Digital Studios as well as the MixHaus Makerspace.
MixHaus Makerspace
MixHaus Makerspace equipment and resources:
- High Powered Design PC with Prusa Slicer, LightBurn, and Blender
- EinScan 3D scanner
- Elna 450 Sewing Machines (3x) with essentials such as scissors, quick unpicks, bobbins, basic thread and needles
- Elna 792S Overlocker (one machine with essentials such as scissors, quick unpicks, bobbins, basic thread and needles)
- Emblaser Pro 60W Laser Cutter and Engraver (2x) and free plywood
- Prusa MK4 3D Printer and free PLA and PETG Filament (3x)
- Cricut Maker 3 Vinyl Cutter (x2)
- Cricut EasyPress 3
- Cricut Autopress.

Riverway Creative Hub Inductions
Would you like to use the MixHaus Makerspace or Digital Studios at a time that suits you?
Come and attend our induction session and learn about our brand new Riverway Creative Hub. Once you are inducted, you can book equipment anytime you like.
Sessions are held on the below weekly schedule:
- First Wednesday of every month: 1pm to 2:30pm (only during School Term)
- Second Thursday of every month: 6pm to 7:30pm
- Third Wednesday of every month: 1pm to 2:30pm (only during School Term)
- Fourth Thursday of every month: 6pm to 7:30pm
Bookings for these inductions are essential, visit What's On Townsville to book.
Riverway Creative Hub Opening Hours
The Riverway Creative Hub is open:
- Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 6pm
- Thursday: 9am to 8pm
- Friday: 9am to 6pm
- Saturday: 8am to 3pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
Aitkenvale Creative Studio
Citylibraries Aitkenvale is home to the Creative Studio, which includes a Digital Studio and Fabrication Studio.
Aitkenvale Creative Studio is currently available during Citylibraries Aitkenvale’s opening hours:
- Monday, Thursday, Friday: 9am to 6pm
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 9am to 8pm
- Saturday: 9am to 3pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
- Closed on public holidays
Fabrication Studio
Fabrication Studio equipment and resources:
- Prusa MK4 3D Printer and free PLA and PETG Filament (3x)
- CriCut Maker 3 Vinyl Cutter
- Design PC with Prusa Slicer, LightBurn and Blender.
Digital Studio
Digital Studio equipment and resources:
- RodeCaster Pro II Audio Interface*
- 2x RodeCaster PodMics
- 2x Rode Headphones
- Seating for two
- PC With editing software
- KRK Audio speakers
