Townsville has a vibrant arts and culture community. Council has a variety of venues across the region including live theatre featuring live performance from local, national and international artists, two galleries featuring exhibitions from local artists as well as travelling exhibitions.

Council's Grants and Partnerships supports local initiatives and pursuits of excellence for arts and culture via the provision of financial assistance to community organisations and individuals.
