Business Licence Renewal Period Change – Effective 1 July 2026

We would like to advise all licence holders that the annual Business Licence renewal period has changed.

From 1 July 2026, Business Licences will align with the financial year, running from 1 July to 30 June each year. This replaces the previous renewal period of 1 October to 30 September.

Business Licence fees for the 2026–27 period have been adjusted to reflect a 9-month licence period. This ensures businesses are only charged for the applicable period while moving to the new financial-year schedule.

Paying a business renewal? There are a number of payment options available:

Pay Your Business Renewals Online

Pay online using your credit card. Accepted credit cards include Visa and MasterCard.

Please note that a credit transaction fee (0.5% of the payment amount) applies to credit card payments and Visa or MasterCard debit card.

How do I know if my Online Payment has been accepted?

A confirmation page with a receipt number will be displayed once you have submitted your payment details and the payment is processed. Make note of this number as it may be required by Council as proof of payment should there be any future discrepancies. This receipt number verifies that your payment has been processed successfully.

Tip: Write the receipt number on the bill being paid.
