Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) – Information Sessions

RADF grants support projects that foster arts, culture and heritage in regional Queensland and are open to Townsville arts practitioners.

About Community Grants

The Townsville City Council Community Grants Program provides financial and in-kind support to eligible organisations, community groups, artists and businesses to deliver activities, events, projects and initiatives that benefit the Townsville community.

The program invests in initiatives that strengthen community connection, increase participation and accessibility, support inclusion and diversity, celebrate arts and culture, enhance liveability, and contribute to Townsville's social, cultural and economic development. Funding is provided across a range of grants and partnership opportunities, supporting both emerging ideas and established organisations that deliver meaningful outcomes for the community.

Through the Community Grants Program, Council works collaboratively with local organisations to maximise community benefit, ensure value for public investment and support activities that align with Council's strategic priorities and the needs of Townsville residents.

On 3 June 2026, Council endorsed updates to the Community Grants Policy.

From 1 July 2026, Council’s Community Grants Program will include:

  • Community Quick Response Grants ($1,000 to $5,000)
  • Community Activation Grants ($5,001 to $25,000) Competitive
