Council invests your rates and utilities back into our community. Every $100 of rates or utilities can be divided into infrastructure and service costs.

For every $100 – where your rates go

For every $100 of your rates: $3.27 goes to environment and sustainability services, $5.21 goes to drain and stormwater management, $5.32 goes to planning and development, $12.84 goes to cultural and community services, $22.07 goes to parks and open space management, and $51.29 goes to roads and transport management.

Every $100 of your rates collected, is spent as:

  • $3.27 for environment and sustainability services
  • $5.21 on drain and stormwater management
  • $5.32 on planning and development
  • $12.84 for cultural and community services
  • $22.07 on parks and open space management
  • $51.29 on roads and transport management.

For every $100 – where your utilities go

For every $100 of your utilities: $20.01 goes to resource recovery, $26.07 goes to wastewater services and $53.92 goes to water services.

Utilities charges are not linked to your land value.

Every $100 of your utilities charges can be broken down into:

  • $20.01 on resource recovery
  • $26.07 for wastewater services
  • $53.92 for water services.
