Ticket requests for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) will open this Monday and will include the basketball preliminary matches to be held in Townsville from 5-10 April 2018.

In order to make it fair for everyone, there will be a ticket request phase that runs from 12 noon on Monday, 24 April through to 11:59pm on Monday, 22 May, to provide fans with the best chance of securing tickets.

To be in the running for tickets, hopeful spectators will need to create an account at gc2018.com/tickets and then select the sport sessions of their choice.

Successful applicants will be notified in late June to allow for requests to be checked and validated, at which time an email will be sent to provide further information before any payment is taken.

Townsville Deputy Mayor Cr Les Walker said the city was very excited to host a series of basketball matches at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre as one of only three cities outside of the Gold Coast to host GC2018 events.
