Date published: 1 February 2018

Townsville artists have only a few days to get their applications in for a grant under the 2018 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

The fund is a partnership between Townsville City Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, and was created to invest in quality and cultural experiences based on community needs.

Applications for the latest round of funding close on Monday 12 February 2018.

RADF Committee chair Councillor Margie Ryder encouraged individuals, groups and organisations to get their applications in for projects with a focus on benefit to the community.

“The key criteria we look for in RADF applications are how the grant would boost cultural experiences for Townsville residents, improve innovation and build community pride,” Cr Ryder said.

“We assess applications on the quality, reach, impact and viability of the proposed projects.”

There is one round of funding available for 2018 where Individuals, groups or organisations can apply for grants between $1000 and $15000.
