Council providing free sand and sandbags

Townsville City Council is providing free sand and sandbags at the following locations.
- Dalrymple Road Depot Carpark
- Cranbrook Depot Carpark
- SES Magnetic Island
Sand is currently provided from the locations below and Council crews are planning to provide sand bags at the locations during the next 3 hours.
- Bicentennial Park Car Park
- Leichardt St Carpark
- PCYC Rassmussen
- Lou Litster Park
- Pallarenda Boat Ramp
- Cnr Pilkington St & Bolam St
- Oonoonba Community Centre
- Cnr Bentley & Nome Rd
- Bushland Beach Boat Ramp
- Wulguru Community Centre
Residents will need shovels to fill their sandbags.
