Council providing free sand and sandbags

Townsville City Council is providing free sand and sandbags at the following locations.
- Dalrymple Road Depot Carpark
- SES Magnetic Island
- Bicentennial Park Car Park
- Leichardt St Carpark
- PCYC Rassmussen
- Lou Litster Park
- Pallarenda Boat Ramp
- Cnr Pilkington St & Bolam St
- Oonoonba Community Centre
- Bushland Beach Boat Ramp
The following locations have run out of sand, but Council crews will be working to replenish the sand and sandbags today.
- Cnr Bentley & Nome Rd
- Wulguru Community Centre
- Cranbrook Depot Carpark
Residents will need shovels to fill their sandbags.
