Waste management plays a crucial role in our community and contributes to ensuring a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Townsville!

Our Resource Recovery team is responsible for waste, recycling and resource recovery across five (5) facilities and more than 80,000 properties in Townsville. They collect more than 6.5 million bins and manage more than 300,000 tonnes of material annually!

Our bin collection service operates 365 days a year, including public holidays.

We want to ensure everyone goes home safe today and everyday, the safety of our drivers and community is paramount. Help protect yourself and others by following these simple steps:

• Give us space when we are collecting your bins, stay well clear of the truck.
• Bins must be placed 0.5 metres apart.
• Place your bins more than 1m away from objects including parked cars, under trees, power poles and other similar obstructions. Obstructed bins cannot be collected.
• Ensure your bin is out before 6am on collection day (kerbside and not on the road).
