Planned shutdown for water main repairs

Water supply in Julago, Nome and the greater Alligator Creek area will be interrupted after 10 pm tonight to allow Townsville Water crews to repair a leak in a major water main in Southwood Road.
The work will be carried out late in the evening to provide residents as much notice as possible and minimise any impacts.
Repairs are expected to take 6 to 8 hours.
The council apologises for the inconvenience to householders and will endeavour to complete the work as quickly as possible.
