Free Riverway movie this Friday

Date published: 14 August 2017

Townsville City Council will present another free Riverway Movie under the stars and raintrees this Friday, August 18.

Bring your picnic rug or camp chairs and enjoy the animated smash hit Moana will on the big screen at Riverway Oval at 6.30pm.

Moana is an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people.

During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder.

Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds.

Along the way, Moana fulfils the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.

To coincide with the screening, the popular Rotary Riverway Moonlight Markets are back and will offer food, drinks and an array of stalls.

Parking will be limited so residents are urged to get there early.

The next Riverway Movie will be Big Hero 6 at 6.30pm on Friday, September 15 at Riverway Oval.
