Cowboys NRL grand final free on the big screen

Fans of the North Queensland Cowboys will be spoilt for choice when it comes to watching the NRL grand final match on Sunday against the Melbourne Storm.

Townsville Mayor Cr Jenny Hill said big screens are being set up in the Townsville CBD and at Riverway and families are encouraged to come along.

“We want everyone in Townsville out there on Sunday cheering the Cowboys on to victory against the Storm,” Cr Hill said.

“It is incredible that just two years on from our last successful tilt at the NRL Premiership the boys are back in the grand final circle once more.

“Regardless of the outcome on Sunday, North Queensland could not be prouder of the grit and determination the Cowboys have displayed to achieve what many thought impossible. Go Cowboys!”

The grand final against the Melbourne Story kicks off at the ANZ Stadium Sydney, 7.15pm, Sunday 1 October.
