Water main leak in Upper Ross

Townsville City Council crews are investigating a water leak in the main pipe that feeds into the Douglas Water Treatment Plant.
The Douglas Water Treatment Plant is the main water treatment plant for Townsville.
As a precautionary measure, Council is advising all residents to begin conserving water and refrain from using any irrigation or non-essential water use.
Staff are currently onsite, assessing the extent of the damage and how long it will take to repair the leak.
Council will continue to update the community as more information becomes available.
