Night asphalting works to commence in CBD

The next stage of the CBD Utilities Upgrade will see asphalting night works commence in the city tomorrow, Tuesday 6 December.
The works will occur from 7pm to 6am on Tuesday and Wednesday night, in areas along Flinders St West between Blackwood and Fletcher St, as well as the intersection of Flinders and Blackwood Sts and Flinders and Little Fletcher St.
The works will require closure of alternate outbound lanes along Flinders St West between Blackwood and Fletcher St and the closure of Little Fletcher St for one night between 9pm and 6am.
Asphalting work will continue on Thursday night in Sturt Street between Stanley and Stokes Street, requiring temporary detours for inbound traffic.
Pedestrian footpaths and property access will be maintained during this time.
Drivers are asked to follow signage and any temporary detours as directed.
From Thursday 8 December to Wednesday 21 December pavers will be progressively installed along Sturt Street to complete the new footpaths.
Pavers will initially be laid on the south side of Sturt St between Stanley and Stokes Sts, followed by the north side.
Normal work hours for the paving work are 6.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 2pm Saturday.
