Pack your kids’ school holidays full of adventure with Townsville City Council’s School Holiday Guide.
The guide is filled with low- and no-cost activities to keep the kids happy without breaking the bank.
Townsville Acting Mayor Ann-Maree Greaney said the guide was a fuss-free way to plan things to do for kids of all ages.
“Our School Holiday Guide really is a one-stop shop for finding the best low and no-cost activities right across Townsville these school holidays,” Cr Greaney said.
“As a mum myself, I remember the days of trying to find things to keep my boys entertained during school breaks.
“Downloading a free copy of the guide from Council’s website is the easiest way to find activities that suit children from small babies right through to older teenagers.”
The quarterly guide features events from Council services like libraries and galleries, local businesses and organisations, as well as Townsville’s Queensland Museum Tropics.
Queensland Museum CEO Dr Jim Thompson said families can dive into the What Can You See Under the Sea? program these spring holidays – a hands-on experience blending art, science, and ocean exploration.
“Our school holiday programs are all about offering fresh, engaging activities that inspire curiosity. This is the first time we’ve introduced 3D printing into our programs, and we can’t wait for kids to experience science in a fun and creative way.”
