Festival of Stories 2012
Festival of Stories 2012, then called Townsville Literary Festival, was held for the very first time on The Strand from 4 to 12 June 2012.
Authors, illustrators and other presenters featured at the 2012 festival included James Moloney, Matthew Condon, Kerry Brown, Barbara Hannay, Lindsay Simpson, Narelle Oliver, Christine Bongers, Lori T Hurst, Max Overton, Julie Napier, Sam Wagan Watson, Alex Mitchell and Michael Fitzgerald-Clark.

Mother's Day Memorial

Join Townsville City Council this Anzac Day, in partnership with the Townsville and Thuringowa RSL sub-branches. Commemorative services and parades will be held at the Thuringowa Cenotaph, Riverway Precinct and Anzac Memorial Park, The Strand
