Waste Facilities Locations and Opening Hours

The Townsville City Council operates a number of dumps and transfer stations, open to the public for disposal of waste.

• Domestic oil (quantities up to 20L) can be deposited at designated sites at all waste facilities.
• Battery recycling areas, bulk domestic cardboard and domestic recycling facilities are located at the Hervey Range, Jensen, and Stuart Landfills.
• E-waste is accepted for free up to 15 items for residents and small business at the following waste facilities Hervey Range, Jensen and Stuart.

  Televisions (CRTs, plasma, LCD and projection televisions).  Computers, laptops, notebooks, palmtops, tablets, computer monitors, parts (internal hard drives, motherboards, cards, internal power supplies, CPUs, DVD and CD drives, computer peripherals, keyboards, joysticks, game pads.  Scanners, mice, web cameras and printers.	Mobile phones, game consoles, video records, DVD players, radios/stereos, power tools, appliances, microwaves, products that have been exposed to radiation, biological or chemical hazards and set top boxes.
