A new Townsville City Council grant aims to showcase Townsville’s unique culture and promote the city as a great place to live, work, play, visit and invest.

The Pulse Townsville Grants Program is offering funding for innovative and creative ideas to get the city heart pumping.

One-off grants of up to $5,000 are available to creative innovators that are located in, or primarily provide services, within the Townsville local government area.

Divisional councillor Ann-Maree Greaney said it was hoped the grants would assist with new projects and ideas that encouraged visitation to the city.

“We’re calling on businesses, community groups, innovators, trendsetters and entrepreneurs with new projects and ideas to come forward and apply,” Cr Greaney said.

“We envision the grants will assist with activation projects that showcase Townsville’s talent and enhance community identity and pride.

“We want to make the CBD streets and public spaces pulse through the creation of vibrant spaces and places.”

Applications are now open and via the council website townsville.qld.gov.au
