Date published: 14 July 2017
Water service interrupted in Julago, Nome and Alligator Creek until 10am today, 14 July 2017.
Townsville City Council staff are continuing their repair works on a leaking water main in Southwood Road with works expected to be completed by 10am today.
This has affected residents in the Julago, Nome and the greater Alligator Creek area.
Crews commenced work at 9pm last night (13 July 2017) to replace a leaking section of pipe that was encased in concrete directly under a section of adjacent railway line.
The mains are connected and rehabilitation works have commenced, but a problem is occurring with pressurising the mains to get the water to all affected areas.
All affected areas will have water back on by 10am today.
Townsville City Council sincerely apologises for the disruption and inconvenience this has caused to all affected residents.
