Last chance to experience Festival 2018

Date published: 13 April 2018

This weekend is your last chance to experience Townsville’s biggest arts and culture event, Festival 2018.

Australian singer songwriter Lior heads up a jam-packed weekend of entertainment which will be capped off with the closing ceremony at Jezzine Barracks from 4pm Sunday.

Mayor Jenny Hill said the festival was going out with a bang.

“It’s been an amazing week of arts and culture events for the city but there’s still plenty to see this weekend,” Cr Hill said.

“There’s performances by Lior, Cajam Circus, Townsville’s Ulysses Dancers, Comedy Generation and lots of interactive workshops.

“The closing ceremony promises to be a big finale with a beating retreat by 3CSSB and lots of live entertainment.”

Lior is playing in the Salon De Elegance at Queens Gardens tonight at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from Council’s website or the Box Office at Townsville Civic Theatre, Riverway Arts Centre and Queens Gardens.
