Artists, creatives and community groups can now sign up for free information sessions to guide and help Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) applicants.
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland. RADF Round 2 2025/26 is open now, with applications closing on Thursday February 26.
Townsville Mayor Nick Dametto said grants of up to $10,000 were available for artists.
“RADF grants support projects that promote and develop arts, culture and heritage in Townsville, with each round being open to all Townsville arts practitioners,” Cr Dametto said.
“It can be daunting for people who haven’t applied for grants before to get started, so Council has set up three information sessions to unpack the application process.
“If you’re interested in applying, head down to an information session for free. We have two online sessions and one in-person session to make it as accessible as possible.
“Townsville has many talented artists, ranging from musicians to painters to actors and more. I’d love to see some of our local talent bolstered through a RADF grant and highly recommend heading along to an information session to learn more about these grants.”
Join one of Council’s online sessions held on 27 & 29 January from 6:30pm by visiting Council’s website or attend in person from 10:30am to 11:30am on Saturday 31 January at the Von Stieglitz Meeting at Citylibraries Riverway.
