General Lending Collections
A selection of books in languages other than English, across age ranges and in both fiction and non-fiction, are available to borrow from the Community Languages Collection.
Items are refreshed via the State Library of Queensland’s Languages Other than English (LOTE) collection, so if you’re not finding what you need, let us know – if the State Library has it in their collection, we’ll request it.
Browse the Language DVDs Collection for DVDs in multiple languages, with the ability to choose English or foreign-language subtitles.
Choose from a selection of books and audiobooks in the Language Learning Collection to learn a language or hone your English skills.
This includes coursebooks for those preparing for their IELTS exam and Adult Readers for individuals with low English proficiency, to help build confidence and reading skills.
