A spooky spin on Townsville Eats for Halloween

Date published: 27 October 2022

Townsville City Council’s hugely popular Townsville Eats event is once again holding a special Halloween Edition on Saturday, 29 October in Flinders Street East.

Everyone is encouraged to get dressed up in their best spooky wear and come along to enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment and food and drinks.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said Townsville Eats was the perfect way to get together with family and friends while enjoying a wide variety of food from local vendors.

“There will be something for everyone with pop-up food trucks, live music and roving entertainment,” Cr Greaney said.

“We will also have plenty of activities for the kids with free face painting, rides, Timmy the ghost train, and a best-dressed Halloween costume competition.”

The event will also feature an outdoor cinema on the night, with Townsville Classic Films airing 1920 favourite The Penalty.

Townsville Eats Halloween Edition is free to enter and will run from 4-9pm on Saturday, October 29 at the East End, Flinders Street East.
