RADF Grant applications open now

Date published: 10 June 2019

Applications for the second round of the 2018/19 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) are now open and will close on 1 July.

RADF is a partnership between Townsville City Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and is designed to invest in arts and cultural experiences based on community needs.

RADF Committee Chair Cr Margie Ryder said the RADF grants provide crucial support for local arts and cultural groups.

“The RADF grants allow the community to explore and pursue their next creative project,” Cr Ryder said.

“The key criteria we look for in any RADF applications is how the funding will support and benefit the Townsville community.

“I really encourage any community groups, individuals and organisations to look at the funding criteria and apply if eligible.”

As part of the funding process, Council will also be holding community workshops for interested applicants.

Cr Ryder said the workshops would be hugely beneficial for any residents that are unsure how to proceed with the application process.

“Council is holding two community workshops in June to assist with the grant application process,” Cr Ryder said.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in the RADF grant to come along and find out about the criteria and get assistance planning their application.”
