Maintenance Works

Townsville City Council is in the final stages of planning the maintenance and refurbishment works on the dividing swim wall within the 50-meter Long Tan Memorial Pool in Heatley.

This project is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to effective infrastructure management, addressing identified maintenance needs to ensure our recreational facilities remain safe, functional and enjoyable.

As part of these works, Council will remove, refurbish and reinstate the existing dividing swim wall.

If you visit or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and increased vehicle movement
• higher levels of noise and vibrations
• temporary short-term pool closures while maintenance works are completed in stages.

Council will notify impacted properties at least seven days before work begins.
