Bollard Installation

Townsville City Council is investing $352 million this year to enhance roads, transport infrastructure, parks, and water systems. As part of this initiative, bollards will be installed in places shown by the map provided around the drainage reserve between Sandstone Drive and Warland Street, Kirwan.

This project reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to delivering parks, sporting fields, recreational spaces, and gardens that support the health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of our community.

As part of the project, Council will:

• implement vehicle exclusion barriers using bollards
• repair any existing bollards on the drainage line as well as the new ones.

If you live near, visit or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations.
