Creative Hubs
Townsville Citylibraries is home to two incredible Creative Hubs that are tailor made for creators, collaborators, inventors, ideators, fixers and tinkerers.
To use these incredible free spaces, equipment, and resources, you must attend a free induction session.

Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub

The Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub features two Digital Studios and a Makerspace.
Citylibraries Riverway MixHaus Makerspace

The Citylibraries Riverway MixHaus Makerspace has the following equipment and resources:
- Blender, LightBurn and Prusa Slicer on a high-powered design PC (x1)
- Cricut Autopress (x1)
- Cricut EasyPress 3 (x1)
- Cricut Maker 3 (x2)
- EinScan 3D scanner (x1)
- Elna 450 Sewing Machines (3x) with essentials such as scissors, quick unpicks, bobbins, basic thread and needles
- Elna 792S Overlocker (x1) with essentials such as scissors, quick unpicks, bobbins, basic thread and needles
- Emblaser Pro 60W Laser Cutter and Engraver (2x) with free plywood
- Prusa MK4 3D Printer (x3) with free PLA and PETG filament
Citylibraries Riverway Digital Studios

Citylibraries Riverway Digital Studio 1 has seating for 6, and has the following equipment and resources:
- Audacity editing suite on a high-powered desktop PC (x1)
- RodeCaster Pro II audio interface (x1)
- Rode PodMics (4x)
Citylibraries Riverway Digital Studio 2 has seating for 3, and has the following equipment and resources:
- Audacity editing suite on a high-powered desktop PC (x1)
- RodeCaster Pro II audio interface (x1)
- Rode PodMics (3x)
Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub Inductions
Would you like to use the Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub at a time that suits you?
Attend our induction session to learn more. Once you are inducted, you can book equipment anytime you like.
Sessions are held on the below weekly schedule:
- First Wednesday of every month: 1pm to 2:30pm (only during School Term)
- Second Thursday of every month: 6pm to 7:30pm
- Third Wednesday of every month: 1pm to 2:30pm (only during School Term)
- Fourth Thursday of every month: 6pm to 7:30pm

Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub Opening Hours
The Citylibraries Riverway Creative Hub is open:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9am to 6pm
- Thursday: 9am to 8pm
- Friday: 9am to 6pm
- Saturday: 8am to 3pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
Citylibraries Aitkenvale Creative Hub

The Citylibraries Aitkenvale Creative Hub includes a Digital Studio and a Makerspace and is currently available during Citylibraries Aitkenvale’s opening hours:
- Monday, Thursday, Friday: 9am to 6pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday: 9am to 8pm
- Saturday: 9am to 3pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
- Closed on public holidays
Citylibraries Aitkenvale Makerspace
The Citylibraries Aitkenvale Makerspace has the following equipment and resources:
- Blender, LightBurn and Prusa Slicer on a design PC (x1)
- CriCut Maker 3 (x1)
- Prusa MK4 3D printer (3x) with free PLA and PETG filament
Citylibraries Aitkenvale Digital Studio
The Citylibraries Aitkenvale Digital Studio has seating for two, and has the following equipment and resources:
- KRK audio speakers
- PC (x1) with editing software
- RodeCaster Pro II audio interface (can have up to 4 audio in and 4 audio out if you’d like to bring your own instruments.)
- RodeCaster PodMics (x2)
- Rode headphones (x2)
