Natural disasters in North Queensland will be the topic of discussion at the next T150 Yarns Series to be held at the Townsville Civic Theatre this Wednesday.

Townsville Yarns is a series of engaging story-telling events presented by a panel of local and visiting identities and is part of Townsville City Council’s T150 calendar of events celebrating the city’s 150th birthday.

This yarns discussion uncovers some of Townsville’s natural disasters, ranging from cyclones, flooding and fires to the recovery efforts and impacts on community and business.

Come along and join in as part of the audience. Attendance is free and morning tea will be provided prior to the session, at 9.30am.

T150 Yarns Series – Townsville’s Natural Disasters will be held Wednesday, September 28 from 10am to 11am, at the Townsville Civic Theatre.

The next T150 Yarns Series: 150 Years of Stage and Screen will be held on 22 - 23 November from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.
