Weir bridges to remain closed for repairs

Date published: 13 February 2019

The bridges at Black Weir and Aplins Weir will remain closed for repairs following the unprecedented flood.

Repairs to the bridge structures – such as pathways, piers and handrails – will commence after the water recedes.

Aplins Weir Bridge will also require engineering assessments before it can reopen.

Council is aiming to reopen the bridges in 6 to 8 weeks.
