Sewer Cleaning, CCTV and Maintenance Hole Inspections
Townsville City Council is undertaking sewer pipe and maintenance hole inspections of the network in your area.
This program allows Council to undertake condition assessments as part of our network maintenance strategy. The data collected by these surveys will allow Council to plan for future rehabilitation and replacement work.
Council has appointed Interflow Pty Ltd to carry out this project on our behalf.
To proceed with these works, Interflow may require access to clean the sewer maintenance hole and the associated wastewater pipeline within and adjacent to your property boundary.
Cleaning and CCTV activities at most sites will take a few days to complete. Interflow will inform you if further access to your property is
needed.
Interflow will advise you via a letter drop if access is required into your property. The Interflow team leader is Phil Ojamaa (Mob 0403 650 805).
As part of this project, Council will:
- inspect sewer pipe and maintenance holes with CCTV camera surveys
- clean and flush sewers and underground pipework by jetting
- restore any disturbed area upon works completion.
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of noise, and vibrations
- temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.

This project is funded by Townsville City Council.
