Wastewater Pumpstation Renewal Program

What works are coming up?
Townsville City Council plans to renew the pipework, liners, and associated infrastructure of three wastewater pump stations in Condon, Burdell, and Railway Estate.

This program of works will extend the service life of the existing infrastructure and enhance the reliability and efficiency of the city's wastewater network.

When will the works take place?

We anticipate work at each site to take three (3) to four (4) months to complete.
Seventh Street – Three (3) months
Bowhunters Road – Three (3) months
Kayleen Court – Four (4) months

Funding
Proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
A local contractor is delivering these works on behalf of Council.

What will the works include?
As part of these works, Council will:

  • Supply and install replacement sewerage pipework and concrete structures
  • Rehabilitate sewer infrastructure
  • Restore any disturbed area upon completion of the work.

What does this mean for me?
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

  • Construction machinery and vehicle movement within the compounds of the sewer Pump Station.
  • Increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations.

These activities will occur within property boundaries and will not require traffic management or lane closures.
