Oonoonba Park Playground Renewal

Council is now in the final stages of planning the delivery of new playground equipment and associated infrastructure at Oonoonba Park, Oonoonba, following damage caused by vandals who set fire to the previous equipment last year.

This initiative reflects Council’s commitment to providing parks, sporting fields and recreational space that enhance the health, wellbeing and enjoyment of our community.

As part of this project, Council will:

• remove the existing playground, rubber surfacing, and any remaining shade sail pieces or fire debris
• install like-for-like replacement playground equipment, including rubber softfall and concrete edging
• install a replacement shade sail along with landscaping and site remediation works.

If you visit in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• safety fencing, barricades, and pedestrian/traffic management measures.
