Public Amenities Installation

Council is undertaking construction works for the installation of a new public amenities block at Riverside Green, Douglas. This facility will include one accessible toilet cubicle and associated infrastructure, developed in alignment with commitments made during the 2024 Queensland Government Elections.

This initiative reflects the Queensland Government’s dedication to supporting enhancements to existing or future Council infrastructure to better meet the identified needs of the community.

As part of this project, Council will:

• construct a fit-for-purpose single accessible toilet block and associated power, sewer, and water connections
• install a new pathway connecting the new facility
• perform minor landscaping and site remediation works.

If you visit in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• safety fencing, barricades, and pedestrian/traffic management measures.
