Douglas Suburban Footpath Maintenance Works

Council is planning to deliver pathway renewal works on damaged sections of the pathway at identified locations within the suburban catchment area of Douglas.

This project is part of Council’s commitment to taking a Back to Basics approach, delivering the services our community expects to continue growing Townsville.

These works will include:

• removal of damaged sections of the pathway
• installation of new concrete replacement
• reinstatement of pathway connections to restore functionality and appearance.

If you visit or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporarily close the affected section of the pathway and implement a signed detour rout to guide pedestrians effectively.
