Tree Maintenance

Council’s Principal Arborist recently conducted an inspection of all trees located along the road and pathway corridors throughout Magnetic Island.

Maintenance work will be carried out on all designated trees. This includes the removal of identified branches and associated foliage to prevent obstruction of streetlights or hazards to roadways and pedestrian walkways.

Works will include removal of the tree branches and mulching. Council arborists will oversee complete landscape maintenance to ensure the health and growth of the trees, preventing further damage to infrastructure and community safety.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including lane closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
