Wastewater Pipeline Renewal
Townsville City Council is planning to undertake sewer pipeline renewal works to upgrade the connection service at 6 Clifton Street in North Ward. To carry out these works, Council-in partnership with the contractor- requires access to the wastewater pipeline located adjacent to the property boundary.
This project forms part of Council’s annual wastewater pipeline maintenance program, which aims to maintain and improve Council-controlled wastewater network to ensure our community’s connectivity needs are met.
As part of this project, Council will:
- remove existing old cast iron pipe and supports
- install gabion baskets to protect steep and slope erosion
- install new gravity sewer pipe and supports
restore area on project completion.
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:
- construction machinery and vehicle movement
- increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
- temporary traffic changes, including minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
Project funded by Townsville City Council and is being delivered by local contractor.
